Wall Niches - Plain, Ornate & Fanned Decorative Niches

Installing Orac Niches introduces soft curved features and focal points into a room. Interior designers often choose niches to create a display area without compromising valuable floor space. Large niches can accommodate sculptures and busts, trophies, vases or floral displays, whilst small niches will accept carriage clocks, models and decorative figurines.

 



Traditional niche styling can be achieved by taking any one of the 3 basic recesses, and adding the appropriate "outer frame" moulding. All Orac niches and niche components are supplied in a white primer finish and can be decorated to suit respective interior styling. Additional visual appeal can be created by installing a 60 watt bulb inside the base plate (although customers are advised to use a suitably qualified electrician for this option). Larger niches come with a choice of a plain recess (N510) or a scalloped fan shaped upper section (N520).

Orac niches offer versatile solutions to discerning home owner and designers. Recent design trends have shifted to a minimalistic appearance and an absence of clutter. The most economical way to create a stylish niche is to select any one of our 3 niche recess components N410, N510, or N520 and simply use these to create a flush finish to the wall. Installers will need to create a suitable recess to accommodate House Martin niches, and create a neat edge detail by using Orac DecoFix Pro (or Hydro in a bathroom or pool environment - do not fit lighting under the base plate in a wet room).
