Delivery, Refunds & Privacy

House Martin aim to offer a next day delivery on 95% of the items listed.  We do need time to pack your order, please ensure urgent orders are placed before 12 noon, as items need to be processed in time for our carriers who usually arrive mid-afternoon.

VAT - all prices quoted on the website are inclusive of VAT.

Payment - delays may result if payment method used does not clear security.

International Shipping - we regularly send products to Europe, the United States and further afield. Please e-mail your enquiry advising us of the products and quantitities required, and we will return a quotation the next working day.

Postage & Packing - most items are kept in stock and despatched by courier and normally arrive within 2 days. All courier deliveries should be signed for as "Unchecked". If you notice any damage we need to be notified within 24 hours in order to process any claim. Any requests for re-imbursement after this time cannot be entertained due to our courier’s claims policy.

VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: To protect both the customer and the seller, when signing for goods do so as "UNCHECKED" or if DAMAGED by recording what has been damaged upon receipt. Not doing so will render any claim as void. Our insurance cover is void once a parcel has been accepted without a clear written notification of damage or non delivery of an item. ONCE THE COURIER LEAVES THE DELIVERY ADDRESS ALL INSURANCE COVER CEASES AND ANY REPLACEMENT ITEMS cannot be supplied free of charge.

Lighting products, special orders and flexible mouldings are typically delivered within 6 working days.

Saturday morning mainland delivery is available at £50. Orders placed before 12 noon will be delivered next day, unless otherwise requested.

A receipt signature is required, so any preferred delivery date / address should be advised.

Mainland UK - On orders of £100 or over, delivery is free to UK mainland addresses on weekdays. For orders up to £100, delivery is £10.75 to mainland UK addresses.

Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands - delivery is £40.00 to Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands rergardless of order value.

Scottish Highlands as defined by TNTScottish Highlands - our carrier (TNT) defines the Scottish Highlands as the following postcodes: IV, KW1-14, PA34, 37, 38 & 39, PH19-26, 30-40, 49 & 50, PH41 sector 4 and all Islands. Delivery to these locations is £40.00 regardless of order value.

Although it is extremely rare for damage to occur during transit, please remember that a consignment must not be signed for if there is any evidence of damage. It is your responsibility to check the contents of your package and notify the driver that you wish to decline delivery. Please report any damage to us within 48 hours so we can arrange for replacements to be sent. We will not be liable for replacement of any broken pieces if they have been signed for in "Good Condition".

Refunds & Returns - standard products may be returned for refund or exchange, as long as they are returned within 14 days. However, this will be subject to a 20% re-stocking and handling charge if no other products are bought to the value of the original order.

Returned goods must be undamaged and carriage is the responsibility of the customer - sorry, but we are unable to arrange collections.

Ordering products constitutes a legally binding contract, subject to UK law. We will not operate in any way which affects your statutory rights.

Privacy Policy - we will not divulge customer personal details unless required by law to do so. We do not sell contact details to third parties and we do not engage in junk mail, email or telephone marketing campaigns. Any and all information given to us is treated as confidential.
