C.902 Indirect Lighting Coving
The Orac Luxxus C902 coving is our newest indirect lighting design. Each C902 uplighter cornice has a pretty rounded profile projecting just 10cm, and a 10cm height. The C902 is the smallest of our indirect lighting cornice designs, and the rounded curves will add a feminine style to any room. The slim section will work particularly well in modern homes where space is at a premium.

When fitted with bulbs this design directs light up towards the ceiling. Customers may choose to use the profile without lighting, as a novel convex cornice which breaks with the traditional British desire for concave detailing. Bright lighting can be achieved with low energy T5 tubes, and Orac IL light plates featuring a clever side by side mounting facility. Tubes can be overlapped, to avoid dark areas on ceilings. Using T5 lights and the lightplate system gives bright lighting, and a superb Philips DALI touch and dim facility. This system is suitable for primary lighting around the home. Reflected light reduces the harsh light associated with central pendant systems. Architects may wish to specify the Orac C902 for use in restaurants and clubhouses, or where ever a pleasant ambience is required. Customers will appreciate our indirect light cornice in home cinemas. Film buffs will be able to view monitors without stray light spoiling the image, and still have sufficient background light to find the DVD remote.
Using the C902 indirect light cornice with standard ceiling lights one may save money by choosing our lighting string and low energy bulbs. Every 2 metre length requires an IL120 transformer. You may wish to consider our excellent ceiling centres above traditional light pendants if a complete re-decoration is being carried out.
When using the C902 coving with Orac Luxxus lighting systems ensure you have over 15cm (preferably 20cm) of space above the cornice to allow room for installation of bulbs, and good light dispersal. We recommend ceilings above the C902 cornice are white to allow maximum lighting levels in a room. Existing House Martin customers may be familiar with the old Orac Myline brand name, be assured this is still the same product but now sold under the Orac Luxxus brand. Every 2 metre indirect light coving profile is made from lightweight polyurethane, with undercoat pre-applied to save time when installing. We recommend all lengths are stuck to the wall with DecoFix Pro, and also screwed into place for good measure. All joints and mitres require a small amount of Extra Fix adhesive.
All Orac indirect light coving accessories are built to the IP20 standard. In essence this means the products are suitable around the home, except in humid conditions. The exact suitability of the product for use in bathrooms should be checked with your NICEIC installer.
