C.357 Berlin Lighting Coving

The Orac Luxxus C357 coving features a neat linear profile that projects 11cm into the room, and has a 7.5cm depth. The shallow trough section pushes light upwards to reflect off the ceiling. Bright illumination comes from slimline T5 tubes, and IL light plates which feature a clever twin mounting facility. This means tubes can be overlapped, to avoid dark patches on ceilings.

The beauty of our T5 light and lightplate system is that you get both bright lighting and a superb Philips DALI touch and dim facility. This system is suitable for primary lighting in a domestic or office environment. The reflected light will take away the harsh nature of direct lighting from central pendant bulbs. When using the C357 indirect light coving with standard ceiling lights one may save money by using our lighting string and low energy bulbs. Each 2 metre length will require an IL120 transformer.

When using the C357 cornice with Orac lighting systems ensure you have at least 15cm (preferably 20cm) of space above the coving to allow space for installation of bulbs, and sufficient light dispersal. We recommend ceilings above the C357 cornice are white to allow good lighting levels in your room. Existing House Martin customers may be familiar with the old Orac Myline brand name, be assured this is still the same product but now under the Orac Luxxus brand. Each 2 metre indirect light coving profile is manufactured from lightweight polyurethane, with undercoat pre-applied to save time when installing. We recommend all lengths are stuck to the wall with FDP500 DecoFix Pro, and also screwed into place to bear the load of lightplates. All joints and mitres require Extra Fix adhesive.

House proud customers may find the Plexi-Cover IL000-001 a worthwhile addition to their C357 uplighter coving mouldings. These offer two benefits, firstly keeping dust out from within the light fittings, and secondly offering a subtle light diffusion. Each IL000-001 light pack has 5 one metre plexi covers, so two packs will be enough for 10 metres of Orac C357 coving.
