CX.129 Chester Cornice
The CX.129 offers the classic dentil tooth cornice design, but without the normal high costs associated with this style. The cornice profile covers nearly 4" x 4", whilst each 'tooth' is nearly 1" high. Ideal for larger to medium size rooms. Stunning effect. This lightweight cornice is a popular choice with both DIY and professional cornice installers. Unlike many cheap Far Eastern imports the material in no way resembles the foam packaging used by the take-away food industry. Instead this Orac Axxent Duroploymer material has good detailing, tough construction and also benefits from an undercoat which has been applied in the factory - to save you time. The 95 x 95mm CX.129 cornice design is similar to the CX127 coving design listed elsewhere, but has a neat dentil effect embossed into each length. The material is lightweight, and should be treated in much the same way as wood. Use a rigid blade saw, mitre box for corner details, but unlike wood there is no need to worry about resin rising out of knots and spoiling the finish. Even sticking the product to your wall and ceiling is easy if you select our specially formulated FDP500 adhesive, and apply a few panel pins for support whilst the adhesive cures. We also recommend FX210 adhesive to joints and mitres (especially in rooms with big temperature variations). Ideal for Victorian cornice and Edwardian cornice.

Orac CX129 cornice or coving is one of House Martin Interiors Orac cornice mouldings. Supplied in 2m lengths this profile is 9.5 x 9.5cm with a diagonal of 13.4cm. A concave cornice with a convex base and line detailing top and bottom. Essentially the same profile as the CX127 cornice, but with dentil detailing. A larger version is the CX107 cornice, these can be used together depending on different room sizes. Or, if different designs, but the same size and shape in different rooms is wanted, use the CX127 plain cornice and / or CX128 egg and dart cornice.
Produced as a cornice for normal room sizes and normal ceiling heights. This is a low cost coving cornice with more decoration than many coving cornice mouldings of this size. The dentil detailing of this coving cornice is usually only found on larger more ornate coving cornice. Suggestions are for entrance way coving cornice, hall coving cornice, dining room coving cornice and lounge coving cornice.
A whole range of mouldings can be used with the CX129 coving cornice. The SX122 skirting board, SX137 skirting board, SX138 skirting board, PX103 dado panel moulding and PX113 dado panel moulding and the PX120 dado panel moulding. Many mouldings can be used; it is just a matter of individual choice.
