This lightweight coving is a popular choice with both DIY and professional cornice installers. Unlike many cheap Far Eastern imports the material in no way resembles the foam packaging used by the take-away food industry. Instead this Orac Axxent Duroploymer material has good detailing, tough construction and also benefits from an undercoat which has been applied in the factory - to save you time. The 95 x 95mm CX.128 cornice design is similar to the CX127 coving design listed elsewhere, but has a traditional egg and dart pattern. The material is lightweight, and should be treated in much the same way as wood. Use a rigid blade saw, mitre box for corner details, but unlike wood there is no need to worry about resin rising out of knots and spoiling the finish. Even sticking the product to your wall and ceiling is easy if you select our specially formulated FDP500 adhesive, and apply a few panel pins for support whilst the adhesive cures. We also recommend FX210 adhesive to joints and mitres (especially in rooms with big temperature variations). Ideal for Victorian coving and Georgian coving.
