C400 coving or cornice is one of the contemporary designs in the Orac Luxxus coving range. The coving profile is 6 x 10cm and has a diagonal of 11.7cm. The C400 art deco coving has a two step tier with two smaller steps at the base and four at the top. It is designed as a modern contemporary coving for minimalist homes. The C400 contemporary coving is ideal for normal to larger rooms with standard ceilings. Examples are; entrance way coving, hall coving, living room coving, dining room coving, kitchen coving, or as coving for flats and apartment coving. There is also a matching flexible coving option, the C400F flexible coving. For a bay or curved wall, curved coving, sometimes known as radius coving, is required and this is a unique solution. Curved bays and curved walls, where in the past only specialist coving installers could fit, can now use our simpler flexible coving option. Orac flexible coving can be used to match all but the tightest curved coving to ceiling and walls. Specifications for the degree of flexibility for individual coving designs are in our PDF file (below). If a greater degree of flex is required, smaller flexible coving will normally give a greater degree of flexibility than a larger flexible coving due to material bulk. The C400F flexible coving is made in the same moulds as the rigid coving, using a rubberised material. The C400 rigid coving and C400F flexible curved coving can be used in conjunction to achieve both straight coving and curved coving, as the wall shape requires. Suggested mouldings to use with the C400 coving and C400F curved coving are the P7070 rigid dado rail and P7070F flexible dado rail, and the SX155 skirting and SX155F flexible skirting and R76 ceiling rose. Other options are of course equally suitable.
