Our C240 coving or cornice is a classic simple small to medium design from the Orac Luxxus coving range. The coving profile is 8 x 8cm and has a diagonal of 11.3cm. The C240 coving has a simple clean concave shape with a straight edge finish. Designed as a classic contemporary coving and can be installed in many house designs. The real significance of this coving design is in the C240F matching flexible option. The C240 classic coving is ideal for normal size rooms with standard ceilings. Examples for installation can be; entrance way coving, hall coving, living room coving, dining room coving, bedroom coving, kitchen coving, or as coving for flats or as apartment coving. A versatile coving shape which discreetly softens the ceiling to wall edge. As mentioned above the C240 coving is also available as a matching flexible coving, the C240F flexible coving. Where there are curved walls and bays which need curved coving (or radius coving), and our flexible coving is a unique solution. Coving needed for bays and curved walls have traditionally only be fitted by specialist coving installation companies. However in situations where the coving needs to be curved, use our simpler flexible coving option. Orac flexible coving can match most curved coving shapes and does not even need a perfect continuous curve or radius. If a tighter bend is needed, a smaller flexible coving will give a greater flexibility than a larger flexible coving. This is due to the dynamics of material bulk. The C240F flexible coving is manufactured using the same high definition steel moulds as the rigid C240 coving, giving a sharp clean finish. This allows for the C240 rigid coving and C240F flexible curved coving to be used together in a room as both straight coving and curved coving, as the room shape dictates. Suggested mouldings to use with the C240 coving and C240F curved coving are the P4020 rigid dado rail and P4020F flexible dado rail, and the SX118 skirting and SX118F flexible skirting and R09 ceiling rose. However many other options can be chosen from the range.
