When it came to decorating a ceiling the Victorians and Edwardian artisans didn't miss a trick. Many of the stately homes that feature beautiful ceiling coving have tiers of mouldings all painstakingly crafted from plaster. In some instances you will also see panel moulds featuring as an inner ring towards the centre of the room, and occasionally below the coving as a picture rail.
