KD.7H Doric Half Column

The Orac Luxxus KD7H column is a broad design featuring a 12 inch wide fluted shaft. KD7H columns are equally suited to interior and exterior installaltions. The relatively low height of the KD7H suits modern low threshold homes, especially when used as a pilaster on either side of a main entrance. Alternatively use 2 x KD7H columns to create one KD7 style column. This method will be particularly appropriate where an existing upright need to be cloaked, and disturbing an oversailing roof or canopy is impractical.

Fitting Orac columns is well within the remit of a competent tradesman or keen DIY enthusiast. Using two halves to create a complete KD7 full column is an easier task than joining plain columns, as the joint can be masked by the fluted ridge detail.
