Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian Decorative Half Columns
House Martin offer a broad selection of half columns to suit the majority of requirements. Plinths can be cut down to create the correct overall height. Alternatively, for exterior porticos, mount your half columns on a brick or stone pier to create additional height.
Our range consists of Doric Half Columns, Ionic Half Columns and Corinthian Half Columns, the main difference being the style of the capital. The finishing touches of any room can make all the difference to its overall appearance. A choice of skirting designs are available. Many skirting designs feature cavities, which can hide unsightly wires (such as hi-fi cabling or home cinema cabling). Choose from the Axxent SX skirting designs for waterproof skirting, shockproof skirting, the ultimate in knock resistant skirting. The skirting will not warp, crack or rot like conventional wood skirting or MDF skirting board and has a more traditional feel than PVCu skirting or plastic skirting.
We also offer pre-finished skirting. This skirting is available pre-primed, making the skirting waterproof and is the skirting of choice in properties at risk from flooding. Our Oak effect skirting and Mahogany effect skirting has been designed to match uPVC window colours and are extremely realistic.
Our architrave products are constructed from the same Duropolymer material as our skirting. This makes for a Doric Half Column much tougher than wooden architrave and so, less prone to wear and tear than traditional architrave.
