3D viewer helpThe Orac Decor R28 ceiling rose has a 28 inch span, sufficient for most reception rooms. The rear of R.28 ceiling centre has a hollowed out chamber designed to accept surplus wiring, or cable jointing blocks. Installation of this item is very similar to that of plaster alternatives, but without associated problems. Our mouldings are lightweight pu with a coat of undercoat pre-applied to save you time. Pre-drill the centre to accept any cables using a suitable wood bit. If you are using the rose above a light fitting then we would advise you make a couple of mechanical fixtures (screws or nails) into a suitable ceiling joist. When offering up the ceiling rose cover the rearward outer rim with FDP500 adhesive. This glue will also act as a filler, and cover up any irregularities. In colder rooms allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure, and then apply your final coat of paint. Warm rooms may actually allow curing and painting on the same day, but please do not use fdp500 in temperatures below 5 degrees centigrade. If you are embarking on a completely new decor, why not use our delightful P7080 panel mould to provide a co-ordinated appearance? It will be far more appealling than humdrum DIY shed coving and panel moulds.
